PAC-LITE 2
Double jacket rubber lined attack hose
Lightweight attack hose built for carry-up and high-pressure nozzle operations.
- ALL-POLYESTER DOUBLE JACKET
- POLYEUROTHANE (PU) COATED REVERSE TWILL LINER FOR LOW-FRICTION FLOW
- CERTIFIED FOR MILITARY AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
- ENGINEERED FOR HIGH-PRESSURE AND MULTI-NOZZLE USE
Our proprietary mechanical coating process increases abrasion resistance by up to 3x compared to standard treatments. This finish enhances heat and flame resistance, minimizes water absorption, and provides exceptional durability against petrochemicals, bacterial growth, and mildew.
Each hose features seamless, evenly woven inner and outer jackets constructed with high-tenacity filament polyester filler yarns, free from visual or structural defects that could affect performance.
- Jackets are tightly woven and free from dirt, knots, lumps, or twists
- Polyester warp yarns fully cover and protect the filler yarns
- No nylon, polyamide, or rayon yarns are used in warp or filler directions
- Inner jackets use a reverse twill weave to maintain a smooth waterway
- Built with high pick-count, anti-whip construction exclusive to MaTex Hose
The hose features a single-ply, ether-based polyurethane liner designed for lightweight performance and long-term durability:
- Super high tensile strength: Minimum of 7,000 psi on a 1½” strip
- Thin-wall construction reduces overall hose weight without compromising strength
- Highly resistant to electrolysis and chemical breakdown
- Lifetime warranty against liner delamination (MaTex Pac-Lite)

Each hose undergoes hydrostatic testing with couplings attached, per NFPA 1961 (1960) standards.
Twist limits under pressure:
- 1½”, 1¾”, and 2” sizes: no more than 4¼ turns per 50 ft at 800 psi
- 2½” and 3” sizes: no more than 1¾ turns per 50 ft at 800 psi
- 4” and 5” sizes: no more than 1½ turns per 50 ft at 600 psi
Each hose is tested to ensure reliable performance in extreme cold:
- A 3-foot section is conditioned at -65°F (±2°F) for 24 hours
- While still at this temperature, the hose is bent 180° back on itself, both directions
Every hose must withstand extreme pressure without failure:
- A 3-foot sample is selected at random and pressurized to ensure integrity
- For hose sizes under 3”, the sample must endure 1,200 psi while laid straight or curved over a 27” radius
- For 4” and 5” hoses, the minimum burst pressure is 900 psi
The hose will maintain alignment, deviating no more than 20 inches from a straight centerline between fittings, and will remain fully flat during testing.
The hose will withstand a hydrostatic pressure of 400 PSI while kinked along its full length, with no failure.
Between 10 and 800 PSI, the hose will not expand more than 8% in circumference.
- Hose sizes 1½”, 1¾”, 2”, and 2½” will not elongate more than 8%
- Sizes 3”, 4”, and 5” will not exceed 10% elongation
WARRANTY INFORMATION
The fire hose furnished under the terms of this proposal has a potential service life of ten years, barring mistreatment or accidental damage that would render the hose ‘unfit for service.’ MaTex warrants the hose to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten years. This warranty shall provide for the repair or replacement of hose and couplings proven to have failed due to faulty material or workmanship.
The fire hose provided under this proposal is constructed to maintain a permanent bond between the inner tube and reinforcement layer. MaTex warrants the hose against tube delamination for the lifetime of the product. This lifetime warranty covers the repair or replacement of hose found to have failed due to delamination caused by defective materials or workmanship.
